We are excited to share with you the outcomes of our project, realized in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, co-financed by funds from the European Union, from the European Regional Development Fund.
With pride, we present our hybrid supercomputer “Copernicus”. Thanks to an investment of 8,610,000 PLN, 3,150,000 PLN of which is co-financing from the EU, “Copernicus” underwent a significant expansion. It gained advanced infrastructure and dedicated 3D scene rendering software, significantly increasing its computing power.
This ambitious project not only strengthens the position of “Copernicus” on the prestigious list of the 500 fastest supercomputers in the world but also opens up new possibilities for the film industry.
Utilizing 400 new servers, including 360 average power servers and 40 high-performance ones, we have created the most efficient fully automatic CPU rendering farm in Europe. Our innovative technology allows for full automation of the rendering process – from commission to final realization.
Furthermore, we developed unique, fully automated customer service software that seamlessly integrates with popular 3D tools, such as 3DS Max. This significantly simplified the process of commissioning rendering jobs on our farm, leading to a tenfold increase in the number of concurrently serviced customers.
What’s most exciting is that the potential of “Copernicus” can meet the demands of even large film studios. This means that the biggest Hollywood productions may soon be realized right here, in Torun. This is a true revolution in the rendering world and a big leap for Polish technology on the international stage.
